Craft Outlet

Several months ago my friends, Sarah and Megan, and I decided that we wanted to take time out of our busy lives to hang out and be creative together. We started getting together and bringing odds and ends materials to be creative with. Our first project was to make bubble magnets. We had so much fun, and felt like it was such a relaxing way to spend some time, that we decided to see if we could sell anything that we made. Megan told us that she had a craft bazaar at her work in December, so we made it a goal to have a table at it and see if anything would sell. We continued to make magnets, and also tried our hand at making reusable shopping totes. With Seattle becoming increasingly more green, and with the upcoming charge for using plastic bags, we created shopping totes out of upcycled coffee bags.

On December 5, we had a table at the bazaar and our entrepreneurial debut.  We didn't become overnight millionaires, but we did decent, and we had fun seeing other vendors' crafts and displays. We're planning to continue to get together for our creative outlet time, and who knows what crafts the coming year will bring.

Sidenote: We do have magnets and totes left over from the sale. The magnets make great stocking stuffers or hostess gifts and are only $5 for a set (sets consist of either 4 large magnets or 5 small magnets). We also have a variety of totes. Some are larger and unlined, which are great for trips to the grocery store. These are $12. Others are lined and sized perfectly for toting books to the library, your laptop to the coffee shop, or for running errands around town. These are $15.  Please do not feel obligated in any way to buy something from us. :)
