I meant to post this video in the snow along with the other pictures, but am just now getting around to it. As you can see from the video clip, Jack loved eating the snow more than playing in it. You’ll also notice that his gloves look really big. He ended up wearing my gloves because we couldn’t get his on him. They really should invent children’s gloves that you can actually put on wiggly hands!

One Month Pictures
Emmett had his first set of professional pictures taken last week. He was incredibly calm (and awake) throughout the entire session. Credit goes to JC Penney for taking some really cute shots of our little man!
Here are some of my favorites:

Story Time
Lately Jack has wanted to be a part of Emmett’s tummy time. Last week during tummy time Jack decided that he wanted to “read” to Emmett. The resulting moment was so precious, as you’ll see from the pictures.
Snow!
There’s snow in the mountains and when that happens, it doesn’t take long for the Rodda family to be playing in it! On Saturday morning we took Jack and Emmett up to Snoqualmie Pass for a little romp in the snow.
Emmett stayed snuggled up in the Ergo for the adventure, but Jack explored the white stuff with curiosity that only a toddler can have.
Here are some of the discoveries Jack made:
A chairlift is fun to sit on and pretend that you are going skiing.
Snow is very COLD when you don’t have your gloves on!
Even in the snow you can see tractors, like this snow plow. Nak Naks (snacks) taste even better when you enjoy them in the snow!

Trick or Treat!
Saturday was a special treat because the weather turned out to be gorgeous—much different from the forecasted rainy day we had thought it would be. We took full advantage of the day and began it with a swim at MLT pool.
After naps, we got the kids all dressed up in their costumes and headed for University Village to do some trick-or-treating. As you can see from the picture, Jack was a Husky football player, Jake Locker, to be exact. He dutifully carried around his football the entire time and didn’t fumble once!
The place was an absolute zoo, with children in costumes everywhere and parents frantically chasing behind them. Jack literally ran from one store to the next. He got really excited each time he got a sticker or piece of candy. There were plenty of “oh boy!”s coming from him!
Part way through, Jack took a break and played on the playground. He now loves to go down slides all by himself. What a big boy!
You may be wondering what Emmett was up to during this time. Yes, he did come trick-or-treating and, yes, he did dress up. Emmett didn’t get any candy, though, because he was fast asleep in the stroller the entire time! He loves the new stroller and nearly always falls immediately asleep when inside. I snapped the following pictures of him asleep in the stroller.
We lasted about an hour trick-or-treating. On our way back to the car we stopped for some family pictures together.
When we got home, we made a few stops to neighbors on our block before heading inside for some dinner. We had so much fun together as a family. It is times like this that make me realize what a special thing it is to watch your children experience life and all of its adventures. I love being along for the journey!
I couldn’t stop taking pictures, so here are some more:
