Well, the weekend that Matt and Joanna have been planning and preparing for finally arrived. The festivities began with the rehearsal at the church followed by the rehearsal dinner at the Lakeside on the north end of Lake Union. It was a fabulous beginning to an unforgettable weekend. My parents hosted a lovely dinner, complete with key lime martinis (very tasty!). It was a chance for both family and friends to mingle and get to know one another before the big day. Matt and Joanna were glowing from the moment the rehearsal began and they continued to sparkle the entire evening.
Jack was dressed for the occasion in his shorts and seersucker shirt. His boat shoes (without socks, just like his daddy) completed the look. He was such a trooper and managed to make it the entire evening without falling asleep! I'll admit, he was deliriously tired by the end of the night, but I couldn't believe that he lasted as long as he did.
The venue was filled with mirrors which kept Jack entertained throughout the evening. He laughed, jumped and smiled at that cute baby in the mirror all night long!
The night was a perfect beginning to a beautiful weekend!
