My Little Racers

I ran in a 15k race this morning. As part of the event, they had a kid’s dash. Jack has been excited to “race” all week and was just certain that he was going to win. He and I talked a lot about how races weren’t always about winning and how I was going to do my very best and try to get my best time.  He agreed and decided to do his best and get his best time.

The boys got registered and got their racing bibs on.

Then they lined up at the start line.

On your marks. Get set. GO!

And my two racers with their ribbons! Even though his look doesn’t show it in this picture, Jack was pretty proud of his ribbon. And I was pretty proud that they each did their best!
